Dutch pianist Pieternel van Oers takes the audience on a journey through her very personal world with her compositions. This time she returns at the Sunside Jazz club with her trio with works created during the lockdown in Paris. Her music takes us from 2011, when she quit a career as a mathematician, towards her life as a jazz pianist in Paris today. This unusual journey, where she went through classical training in the Netherlands and jazz studies at the Bill Evans Piano Academy, led to an original music style. Le répertoire des compositions de la pianiste néerlandaise Pieternel van Oers fait voyager l’auditeur dans son univers très personnel. Cette fois-ci elle revient avec son trio au Sunside avec des œuvres composés pendant le confinement à Paris. Sa musique nous emmène de 2011, quand elle renonce à une carrière de mathématicienne, jusqu’à sa vie de pianiste de jazz à Paris aujourd’hui. Ce parcours atypique, où elle est passée par une formation classique aux Pays-Bas et des études de jazz à la Bill Evans Piano Academy, l’a amenée à une musique improvisée originale.Tommaso Montagnani à la contrebasse et Nicolas Signat à la batterie créent une interactivité dans le trio qui plonge l’auditeur dans un univers à la fois poétique, surprenant et émouvant.
